Pura Vida!

Hello everyone! It's summer and I'm back from Costa Rica! It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Comment below if you want a post about Costa Rica with some pictures. I also want to thank everyone who has followed the blog or followed me on Twitter. I still can't believe people actually like to read my posts! Anyway, I have a lot of fun posts planned! I love this look! It's fun and flirty and can easily be worn at night or day! Good luck!

Eye Tutorial:

1. Prime eye using Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

2. Apply MAC Nanogold Eyeshadow all over your eyelid to give it a subtle shimmer.

3. Line upper lash line with a thick line of L'Oréal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Black.

4. Okay, so here's the hardest part. Add your wing. Follow your bottom lash line up with a thin line.

5. Fill out the line a bit thicker now, but have it taper to a point in the outside. Connect it to the upper and lower lash line.

6. Line your waterline with black eyeliner. And you're done!

1. Prime eyes. I used BareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer.

2. Apply Lancôme Bikini Golden Shadow to the inner half of your eyelid

3. Apply Lancôme Dill Shadow to the outer half of your eyelid

4. Apply Lancôme Guest List Shadow to your crease

5. Apply Lancôme Honeymoon shadow right below your brow as a highlight color

6. Line upper lash line with L'Oréal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Brown

7. Line waterline with Lancôme Le Crayon Kohl in Black Coffee

8. Apply Lancôme Définicils Mascara to your upper lashes

I wash my face usually twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night.

Neutrals, I love Wedge by MAC for my crease, for my lids I love MAC's All That Glitters, Nanogold (Spring Color Forecast Collection), Grand Entrance (Starflash Collection), and Ricepaper, and for a highlight I love MAC's Nanogold (Spring Color Forecast Collection)

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Pencil

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Not often...never? (knock on wood)

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
they seem messy

What is your favorite lipstick?
I'm a bigger fan of lip stains. For a red lip, I love MAC lip marker (Art Supplies) in Purposefully Red under MAC Lipstick in M.A.C. Red finished off with Love Alert Dazzleglass. I also love Viva Glam Gaga and Dressmaker, Dressmaker.

How about lipgloss?
MAC's Love Alert Dazzleglass or MAC's Viva Glam VI Lipglass or Lancôme Juicy Tubes or Beauty Rush Lipgloss

What is your favorite blush to use?
Benefit Benetint :)

No

Yes I love it! but I also love high end makeup!

Yes! I just discovered one near me and I LOVE IT!

No, but I do read makeup books

Not really, sometimes with eyeliner but not usually

Raccoon Eyes - girls, don't make yourself look like a raccoon when it's not halloween

I was tagged by Vanessa or lovesparksxo.blogspot.com and I thought this tag was pretty cool. You list 5-10 beauty related things that you have never bought, done or used. Hope you enjoy the tag!

1. Never have I ever...ordered cosmetics online

I don't know if this is just me, but there is something about trying it on at the store and leaving the store with the bag in your hands. :)

2. Never have I ever...painted my own toenails

I just can't seem to reach my toenails to paint them, so I guess I just have to get a pedicure...

3. Never have I ever...blown dry my hair nicely straight

I have naturally really curly hair so when I blow dry my hair, it gets poofy. So, when I want straight, I need to use a flat iron.

4. Never have I ever...gone to a tanning bed

I am naturally extremely pale - like sometimes in the winter...NC15 is too dark. But skin cancer runs in my family, so as the dermatologist said "I am pasty by choice." (And I don't want to spray tan because I'm afraid I'll look like an oompa-loompa)

5. Never have I ever...applied liquid foundation with a brush

I don't usually wear foundation (liquid or powder) but even then, I don't ever apply my liquid with a brush. It just doesn't work.

Beauty 911: Quick Fixes

Emergency #1: Over-plucked Brows

Fill in your brows with a brow pencil slightly lighter than your hair so that your brows look natural until they grow back. After penciling them in, fill in gaps with brow powder to soften your eyebrows and make them look more natural.

Emergency #2: Dark Circles

1. Cover them with a creamy emollient concealer. The skin under your eyes is thinner than most of your skin, and it has fewer oil-producing glands you need a moisturizing cover-up to make it go on smoothly and adhere well.
2. Apply a thin layer of concealer over the entire undereye area, using a concealer brush.
3. Layer on a second coat to lighten the darkness. Concentrate on the darkest part (often the inner corner to the middle of the eye), and blend it up into the lash line.
4. To keep concealer from slipping into the crevices of skin, set it with powder before starting on the other eye.

Emergency #3: Puffy Eyes

Place cold cotton balls or a cold gel eye mask over closed eyes for 10 minutes. This will drain accumulated fluids and reduce swelling. If you prefer, place cucumber slices on closed eyes for 10 minutes. You can also wet chamomile tea bags, put them in the refrigerator until cold, and use them as a compress.

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been so MIA from my blog for a while! My life has been pretty crazy...I'm in a huge musical production at the moment, so I've had a bunch of rehearsals for it + school and sports. The show finally runs on this Friday and Saturday, so I will have much more free time after that to work on the blog. But, I am in school, and exams are at the end of May, so I will not be able to post very often in May. Then, summer! I will be posting a lot more during the summer, but I will be in Costa Rica for 12 days in June, so I will have no access to Twitter or the internet. Sorry about all of the excuses, but once I hit 10 blog followers and 30 Twitter followers - I will be doing a small contest/giveaway, so I need your help to do that (remember, the sooner I hit those goals, the sooner the contest/giveaway).
